The performance, precision, and lifespan of automotive stamping dies are significantly influenced by the materials used in their construction. We meticulously choose high-quality, reliable materials to build durable and efficient tooling solutions for our clients.
High-Grade Gray Cast Iron: HT300 is a high-strength gray cast iron grade according to Chinese GB standards, offering excellent overall properties (roughly equivalent to international grades like GG30 / EN-GJL-300 / Class 40).
Excellent Castability & Machinability: Easily cast into large, complex structures and possesses good machinability, facilitating the creation of precise die geometries.
Good Damping Capacity & Dimensional Stability: Effectively absorbs vibrations during the stamping process, maintains structural stability, and ensures long-term accuracy.
Cost-Effective: Provides a highly competitive cost-benefit ratio while meeting the performance requirements for essential die structure components like die bases, risers, and holders.
Primary Applications: Typically used for manufacturing die bases, retainer plates, spacers, and other structural components where strength and wear resistance requirements are standard.
Enhanced Mechanical Properties: The addition of Chromium (Cr) and Molybdenum (Mo) significantly enhances the material’s strength, hardness, and toughness compared to standard cast iron.
Superior Wear Resistance: CrMo alloys offer greater resistance to wear and tear, enabling them to withstand higher frequency and force stamping operations, thus extending the life of working die components.
Good Hardenability & Heat Treatment Response: Allows for further enhancement of surface hardness and wear resistance through heat treatment processes, meeting high-performance demands in specific areas.
Withstands High Stress:Suitable for manufacturing die components subjected to significant impact loads, high forming pressures, or requiring superior structural integrity.
Primary Applications: Often utilized for critical working components of the die, such as forming cavities, punches, and inserts, as well as other parts under high stress or requiring high wear resistance. Depending on specific needs, this could involve CrMo alloy cast iron or CrMo alloy steel.
The creation of high-performance automotive stamping dies stems from a rigorous, systematic manufacturing process with meticulous attention to detail. We combine advanced technology, premium materials, and an experienced professional team. Through the following key stages, we ensure every die set delivered to our clients meets exceptional standards of quality and performance.
Review product data and requirements, use CAE simulation for formability analysis, optimize processes, and identify/solve potential issues early.
Experienced engineers use CAD for detailed 3D structure design and 2D drawings, precisely defining components and assembly relationships.
Select high-grade materials (HT300, CrMo) per design specs and use controlled casting for a solid, reliable die foundation.
Advanced CNC, EDM, grinding, and heat treatment ensure high-precision machining of components, especially working surfaces, meeting strict tolerances.
Skilled toolmakers assemble parts and perform detailed fitting/spotting for accurate clearances, smooth movement, and optimal surface contact, ensuring performance.
Test the assembled die on a press, inspect parts, diagnose/fix issues, and optimize through adjustments for consistent qualified part production.
Optional surface treatments (nitriding/coating) enhance wear resistance. Comprehensive final inspection covers dimensions, assembly, function, and documents for flawless delivery.
Dies are cleaned, rust-proofed, and securely packed (wooden crates) for safe transit. We offer full logistics support for punctual global delivery.
